LÓN besteht aus drei in Island sehr bekannten Musikern, die ursprünglich in den Stilrichtungen Rock und Jazz tätig sind. 2020 taten sie sich in der Coronazeit zusammen um ihre Folkwurzeln in einem gefühlvollen Americana-Stil zu erkunden. Dies wurde ein Riesenerfolg. Mit Valdimar Guðmundsson ‘ ergreifendem Gesang im Vordergrund errangen sie diverse Preise, sorgten für Aufsehen mit Auftritten bei der Folk Alliance International dem SXSW und erzielten auf ersten Touren 2023 und 2024 schnell Anerkennung in Europa.
